Have you ever played around with creating custom Set categories?

One of my team asked me the other day if it was possible to “staple” a group of pages together and then use a hyperlink to open that group.
    I’m pretty sure that it’s not, but….

I’m thinking that if he created a custom Tag, and a custom Set Categories template he could achieve his goal. He’s working out the workflow.

I think you may have to create a Set with only that group of sheets, then you can create a hyperlink to open the Set. I’m not sure you can target a group of sheets within a Set. I’d love to follow along as you learn more!

this is why I’m thinking if he added a custom Tag, it could be sorted that way.
Like the same way it sorts the different disciplines, i.e. Architectural, Mechanical, ID, etc.

One of our clients has a standard prefix template they use on their shop drawings, and I was able to build a Custom Set based on those prefixes.

If we add a tag for say Floor Plans, RCP’s, Elevations, we SHOULD be able to group those by those Tags, correct? That way they’re indexed that way in the Set.

That’s a good point. I’ve always gone with the default tags and organized by discipline. Do you have a set you could test and get back to the group?
