We have a local Civil Site Design firm that consistently distributes what appear to be scanned PDFs. Part of this may be that they are applying a wet seal and signature, but even their unsealed documents appear to be scanned – or at least are what I believe is called a “raster” print rather than a “vector” print.

Basically this renders many of our favorite Revu features (Disable Line Weight, Snap to Content, Etc.) useless.

I’ve asked the GC that I’m pricing this for project for a set of “native” PDFs, but I’m concerned that I’m not asking the right question as the “updated” file that he shared this morning has the same issues.

So, for those of you who create PDFs, is there a way I should be wording my question? I’m thinking that this is a print setting issue, but I’m not 100% sure…

I would guess they are scanning the line you said, but there is a setting when they print to select Vector or Raster. I hope it’s that simple and fixed going forward.
