Unfortunately the disappearing layers from 20.2.85 have made an appearance (or not as the case is!) in Revu 21!!!! Very frustrating!

Thank you for the heads up @Vince
I’m going to keep working away back here in 20.2.70….
Glad that folks like yourself are out on there at the front of the bus finding all the bugs! 😎

Replying to bring this to the front for @bruce-a
I think there may be other threads too…

Some of the other issues were dropping layer assignments in custom tools – but this was an issue in 20.85 I believe, and it continued into 21. Does this sound right @Vince ?

Thank you David! I have not seen layer issues with the .85, although I am not sure my team uses layers much.

That’s one of the things that keeps things interesting @Bruce_218 – not everyone uses all of the same features. Revu 21 may work perfect for you and your team while driving @Vince crazy with glitches.
Please keep us posted on how the upgrade goes for you and your team.

Yep @David Cutler this glitch is still driving me crazy! It did start in the 20.2.85 update and appears to have been copied into Revu 21.
Bluebeam have been aware for at least 5 months now but there is still no fix insight.

The frustration is real @Vince ! Definitely keeping our operation on 20.2.70 until I’ve heard from you that they have addressed this in 21.XX.

@mechave does ATG have an pull with Bluebeam on getting these type of issues moved up on the “to do” list of fixes?

@David Cutler as well as my Bluebeam and Excel issues, I also spent over an hour on the Dropbox help webchat yesterday as mine just stopped syncing!!!
No news from Microsoft about the Excel fix yet either.
JUst hoping nothing else goes wrong now!

@Vince, Did you have a plan put together for your deployment? I am trying to dig into this as I am tired of the perpetual license nightmare and just need to clear my plate. I have been reading through BB deployment documentation and have been wanting to pull my hair out (shaved head) but that is not working either…
Any help on process docs or anything I need to do PRIOR to the push…
Bruce

@Bruce_218 it is only me here so there were no plans for deployment – I just tried to upgrade when 21 came out in the hope that it would be working without any issues such as the disappearing layers.
Unfortunately, I did have a bit of a nightmare registering the new version as no one appeared to know how to deal with individuals at that stage. Fortunately, someone who worked for Bluebeam in Canada (I’m in the UK) jumped in via LinkedIn and helped me sort that out.
I think the guys on MCR did a bit about registering new licences and there is also the Brighter Graphics YouTube channel where there are some videos showing you want you need to do. There are loads of other short demonstrations on there too so it is well worth a look.

Thank you Vince! I will do some digging. I remember they covered a few things on the upgrade. I will have to rewatch it and come up with a process. I do not want to do it and then forget something stupid, especially with the cloud stuff.
It is just me as well. I have 3 offices and 2 remote users so I am always trying to get all my ducks in a row. 🙂

Hi @Vince
Seeing other posts that perhaps you have made it past your Revu 21 hurdles. Everything working as you expect it to now?

The Cloud doesn’t work for me though unfortunately @David Cutler .
But it’s nothing to do with Bluebeam instead, it is my normal problems with our incredibly bad drawings over here! ☹
