Is anyone out there using this powerful feature of Revu?

We use Bluebeam for plan review and markups. Building, Planning, Engineering and Fire Prevention use the software for review and markups. The outside consultants for all 4 divisions use Revu as well. This allows us to use sessions and work on the same plans for an expedited review. City of Murrieta, CA.

I appreciate that, I hope I can reach more people with some cool new features coming soon to the website.

Sounds as if your City really has the process dialed in @aekrogh !

Is this something that the City put in place and required the other groups to use, or was it developed with input from the various “interested parties”? What types of challenges did you face with the implementation?

I took the lead on what software to use, based on discussions with other agencies and our outside consultant review teams. The transition has had some issues, but for the most part it has went well. Revu is a robust tool and we really only use about 30% of what it is truly capable of. My next steps is to make standardized comments for my team to use in custom toolboxes.

I think that you would find that most of us use less than 30% of the features of the software @aekrogh. 😎 In part I’m sure that this is due to users simply not knowing the capabilities of the program. That is one of the great benefits of this on-line forum that @troy_degroot has provided for us – we get to see how others use the various features that we don’t use already.

YES, this makes such a huge difference in time and standardization!
