Tools w/ Embedded Toggleable Layers

Seems super basic, but I’m finding myself somewhat surprised.

What I’m looking for is a tool with embedded multiple layers. I’d like to show an occupancy sensor with it’s associated coverage pattern. The goal is to lay out the sensors by coverage, then freeze the coverage layer to only show the sensor.

I created the layers and the symbols and matched them up. From there I grouped them since this seems like only next step to create the tool, but the individual layer control is lost.

If I make the sensor as main layer and set coverage pattern as child layer, it’s not possible to hide the coverage pattern only.

    Any help?

When markups are grouped, they are all added to whatever is the “Top-most” layer in the group. Pretty sure this means the layer last added, which should be the lowest on the list. No matter the priority that you group them, or which markup is primary at the time. Unfortunately no way to nest layers within the group.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s a basic function that should be included.

I wonder if I can get this behavior custom programmed through a bluebeam developer?
