Hi @Chad Czerwinski . With that many changes I’d imagine that using compare would be rather difficult so will be interested to see if someone comes up with something for you.
I have done a comparison a bit like this a different way in the past though. That time I exported everyting out to Excel and then did a bit of Cut & Pasting and aused a couple of formulas to highlight where the changes were.
Good luck!

Save, undo and redo are a must.

I think I’d look to record the progress on the drawing using a custom column. Depending on the lengths of the walls in question this may be a simple “Completed” or a “% Complete”.
I’d then kick this out to Excel to work out the % complete as you may want to look at this in different ways e.g.
% complete of that particular type of wall
% complete of total lengths of walls
% complete of surface retaining areas
% complete of total value of walls
etc..
Either of the above columns suggested could give you any of the above figures – or all of them in one go if that is what you require.

I’ve just updated to 21.4 mainly because I wanted to try to use the new cycle through feature. I had to sign out and back into Revu a few times before it would work but now that it is, I’m already finding really useful as my drawings have so many markups on them.
I guess it would also be quite handy to know about the new features – and their pitfalls!!! – when teaching as those new to Revu seem to be the ones who instantly install the new updates. I’m assuming that is who you are mainly teaching?
I’m just wondering if it is possible to have a second ‘desktop’ on your computer for teaching with an older version on it????

Working on housing projects here in the UK, we are looking at several hundred drawings if not thousands on each site. My groundworkers have even been talking to someone like Viewpoint to have their own system made.
With regards progress though, a lot of the groundworkers machines are now set up with computers which mean they can drive out into the middle of a field and start excavating foundations, grading the ground to new levels, etc. – it is pretty amazing!

Maybe you could use the Date column in Revu and a date box in Excel as part of your final check?

I’ve has something similar to this when adding new columns in a profile, opening up the drawing in the wrong profile, etc..
Here’s a suggestion but I can’t guarantee it we will but it may be worth a try.
Export the columns from a new drawing where everything works and save these on your computer somewhere.
Then go to the drawing that you are having issues with and simply import the new custom column set.
Hopefully, this will correct everything………

I’m not sure that I want any particular ‘standard’ style included however, I do wish that the process of copying and updating styles that you’ve already created was easier!

I haven’t really come across anyone yet who uses Studio so have never really looked into it. I guess that it is something that I should learn about though.

Undo is knock the mouse wheel to the left and Redo is knock to the right – probably my most used functions.

I was having an issue with Sets which they said they couldn’t reproduce so, I sent them a video after which they could then reproduce the problem. Maybe worth a go?

Sometimes I like to save a new copy so I have a version history or so I can play around with the info that has already been collected.
That’s not to say that I don’t have macros that run on opening or closing a spreadsheet. I have ones that close and hide all the worksheets when closing. Then on opening the sheets only unhide if the user has the correct credentials – machine name or something like that.

New or updated profiles do often cause me a few headaches but once they are finished, they are really worth that bit of extra effort required to get them to work!
