New at Blue Beam

Where to start? I need direction and information on where to start using Blue Beam? Just joined and loaded the REUV-21 version yesterday.

I just signed up for an 8-hour coarse for using Blue Beam on Sept. 2nd.

I will be mainly using Blue Beam for Engineering site plans and for As-builts for mark-ups and changes to the approved plans. Scaling the plans would be of use as well.

Once the mark-ups and As-built is completed the plans will be submitted GIS Administrator and to other City Departments for future reference.

    Welcome Brent.

There are tutorials built right into Revu that will get you started before you take your course. Just click on the Help menu.

The number one thing I would recommend though, is to change your profile right away.
Revu>Preferences>Profiles> and then change it to Revu Advanced. This simple thing will change the UI of Revu and make it look like it can do a whole lot more than the out of the box version.

After that, just play a while. Ask questions. Follow people like myself and Troy on LinkedIn.
Join us on Tuesday mornings for the MCR with Jason and Michael over at ATG.

We’re all here to learn from each other.

There are also great free video lessons available at:

These are a great way to learn “what you didn’t know you didn’t know” about Revu. The fun then begins figuring out how to work the new tips & tricks into your workflows.

Unfortunately I don’t think there is any budget for commission on free resources! 🤣

All great resources mentioned here @brent

I’m glad you found this group and website, there are tons of written blogs, video tetorials, free downloads, free and paid digital courses, and access to over 3,000 users in this forum to brainstorm solutions with. You pretty much don’t need to go anywhere else. 🤣

I’m a little bias, but the courses you find here are the best you will find. I have almost 30 years in the industry and it shows in all aspects of my training.
