Using Formulas In Custom Columns

    Morning All

I’ve just been trying to play about with these but keep getting a “An item with the same key has already been added” message – am I right in thinking that the Length column can only be referenced by just one new custom column?

    Thanks

I’m not sure I’m understanding your question @Vince – I made a custom column with a formula of “Length * Length”. I then made a second custom column with a formula of “Length * Length * Length” with no issues.

Note that the “Length” appears to default to the “Quantity” value so that when I measured an area my column displayed “Area * Area”.

I’m guessing perhaps you are working with something more complicated though…

Hi @David Cutler – I am trying to add some formulas with angles in them. The first one which is linked to the length works fine but as if I try to add another one then I get the above message.

However, I’ve now gone down the PQ route which is working rather well for my roofing (carpentry) take-off sheet.
