Working in cutout areas
I find the “polygon cutout” tool very useful when I have small areas of different takeoff types inside of a larger area – such as concrete islands in an asphalt parking lot. I ran into an issue this morning though where I need to add multiple other area takeoffs into the cutout are (some sidewalk, some grass). Bluebeam wanted to fill the cutout automatically with the next area measurement that I needed to place in the area. The solution I came up with was to cut out the sidewalk area first, apply the sidewalk area markup to the cutout, then cutout the grass area as a second cutout followed by applying the grass area measurement. Ended up working out well in the end!
