I agree with what has already been said. Personally I wait until that person is already reaching out with a question and when I have helped them with that question, and then ask if I can share a tip when I’m done answering their question.

If it isn’t the right time for them, I may send a link to something I’ve written up on the subject or just mention that if they are ever interested I can show them another way to approach whatever it is.

Those who simply don’t know any better will be appreciative, those who don’t want to change are never going to listen until they want to. Nothing I can do about that, so I move on to those who want to know.

Anyone have a way to not transfer all the viewport data from CAD into Untitled Viewports? Love having to delete them each time.

It’s not elegant, but using a Legend I can get the date text from the custom column that I’m looking for to display. It’s tricky because the Legend wants to include everything by default, but I got it to work. Thank you both for your ideas!

Marv, it shouldn’t be too difficult to draw the ladder using the line and rectangle tools, group it and then add to a custom toolset. If that does become too much effort, you can always use the snapshot tool to take what you want from a clean version of the linework or the legend.

Agreed. In addition to the “None” status, we will also use the Paint Format tool if we need to “reset” how a markup looks if we are using a color besides red as a starting point.
