  How do you roll up markups across a whole set of PDFs?

  Here’s a question I love asking, because I never get the same answer twice.

  You’ve got a whole set of PDFs, maybe a full drawing package, and every sheet has markups on it. You need one clean list of everything. How do you get there?

  I’ve seen people combine the set first so there’s only one Markups List to work from. I’ve seen others keep the files separate and let Excel pull it all together with Power Query. I’ve seen setups where the columns are built so the data lines up no matter who marked up which sheet. I have my own preference, but I keep hearing versions I hadn’t thought of.

  So what’s your move? And if you’ve got a trick for keeping the data clean on the way in, I’d love to hear that too.
