Who has already looked at the submission guidelines for Unbound 2027?

I did and something is bothering me about them.
Everything is focusing on the end result. Nothing is focusing on the beginning.

Everything they’re looking for is about data, standards, integrations… but its all about the end result.

The NUMBER ONE thing you can do to improve your use of data is to learn how to structure it in a way that its useful in secondary steps. Having a proper data model makes all that easy.
Unfortunately, that’s the boring part, but its also where you’re going to spend 75% of your time. You’re going to spend way more time combining and cleaning data than you ever will visualizing it.

There’s one example they mention on real-world lessons learned and best practices. If there is one thing that I have learned over the years, its to not take a shortcut. Learn the basics. Learn how things work. Learn how to fix them. Yes, learn how to crawl before you walk, and learn how to walk before you run.

I think this is where I’m going to take this, I just hope that the selection people understand what I’m trying to get across.

    Thoughts?

Learn the basics then experiment. You may have a specific output that you are initially trying to generate but, if you do those two things first, then you might discover that you can produce a whole load of extra data that will help you, all with very little or no extra input.

I wasn’t aware there was an application already. Thanks for letting us know. I agree you have to learn the basics before you get overwhelmed with the possibilities. I’ll have to find the link and start brainstorming a course or two.

There’s a link to the submission page in the upper right hand corner of the page.
