One of the limitations of the “Stitching” tool is that any layer information present in your source document is lost when the images are stitched together. Trying out a few ideas I found a work around that gets around this limitation!

    Basic approach:

    1. Setup your stitching areas and match lines

    2. Turn off any layers that you don’t want the ability to turn on/off on the stitched document

    3. Stitch the pages

    4. Go back to your base document. Isolate the layer that you want to be able to turn on/off so it it the only layer displayed.

    5. Stitch the pages again – this will come file Stitching Result (1)

    6. Using the Revu snapshot tool capture the linework from Stitching Result (1) file and then paste-in-place the snapshot onto your original Stitching Result file.

    7. Assign the image to a layer of your choice.

It’s a bit cumbersome if you have 25 layers, but if you have a few key layers that you want to be able to toggle on/off this works pretty slick!

    Hope this helps someone! 😎
