Some how I had 2 columns that had the same name, neither of which I was using for the particular formula I was writing, but I deleted one and I think it may have solved my problem. Have not had time to do some more in depth testing, so stay tuned…

Yeah this would be incredibly limiting. If you can’t re-use a variable then the variable list would get very long.

Doesn’t seem to matter. I first created it as a text and was changing it to formula. I deleted it and then added it again as a formula and still get the same error.

Stumped on this message. Anybody tell me what Bluebeam is trying to tell me? I have other formulas in my custom columns, and have never encountered this.

Found the issue it was in the Document Properties/Security ‘Changing the Document’, and ‘Assembling the Document’ were marked as restricted. No way to change the permissions so I printed a new copy and then everything was available.

Under thumbnails panel at the top ‘Create Page Labels’ is grayed out. Anybody got any suggestions of why this is?

I have toyed with it a little, but have not implemented it into any workflow yet.

Yeah, I have been known to pop keys off my keyboard from time to time, and even re-map a few of them.

Thanks Isaac, it was one of my other users he probably hit it by accident. That’s kind of a crazy option, never had the need to have to turn those off.

Anybody encountered the problem where Bluebeam pull down menus are not showing, even the minimize, maximize, and ‘X’ is not showing. Its like the window border is just nowhere to be found. Running Revu 21.

Ahh, thanks for that one. I had left content checked thinking I needed one or the other or both to be checked.

If I want to use Layers in Bluebeam then the Layer list gets rather long, I have tried to print these to Bluebeam Pdf and they will not print, just hangs and all you get is a ‘Cancel’ button.

Is there a way to get rid of Layers or flatten layers that came in with a pdf from the customer without deleting content? I have pdf files that all have layers and they look like they are from Autocad or what ever CAD program these pdfs were generated from. Save As would preserve the integrity of the original document for those not paying attention. failed to mention that my columns are part of my custom Profile, so I believe all I have to do is open the new drawings and then save them to get the columns come in. I might be wrong on this though.

Been busy so been a while since I have been on this sight. Its only the existing markups that are locked, the columns are fine. I think it has to do with flattening when I pull the file down off of sessions, insert my new drawings and then put the file back up on sessions. Yes, I have watched that and it was very helpful. I have those processes incorporated, just looking for a good way to create a Summary file or page for all RFIs on a job. Not the best at using some of the more advanced features in Bluebeam, but slowly picking up on them.

Was hoping the Java Scripting would be able to open a template form, so that I could add a button for creating RFIs for the more technically challenged. Trying to make a work flow that is somewhat idiot proof for RFIs.

I think this is close to what I am looking for, although being able to keep it in a legend on my drawing document would be nice, but the document will always be in a session. Not very good with importing Data into Excel, so I guess Excel Youtube videos will be on my list of things to do.

I use the ‘R’ hotkey quite a bit for highlighting and it seems to go south periodically. I can still grab the menu button so it doesn’t slow me down to much.

I like to keep my current set of design drawings in a Session and then have everybody invited and using this one set so I don’t have to maintain multiple sets (single source of truth). I still periodically have my hotkeys going south, not sure what is causing it. Sometimes I go days or weeks and it hits me. I am just living with it for now, I can still get commands to work from the menus, just the hotkeys are an issue. No a show stopper, just an inconvienence.

Yeah, F1 does bring up the Help

Anybody else experience their hotkeys not working since the latest install? I have tried all Profiles and nothing. Also noticed the ‘Help’ is gone from the pulldown menus.

I am not sure why they would allow you to attach anything but a PDF, but they do. Weird.

Not adding the excel file to the session, using the attachment option. Which works it show the paper clip and if you click on it Excel opens the file, but Bluebeam doesn’t check it out.

I have an Excel file that is attached to a document in Sessions (the little paper clip icon). When I open the Excel file it is not being checked out, so therefore any changes I make do not get saved. Is this a limitation of Sessions, or am I missing a preferences or file setting in Bluebeam.

It was the ‘Restrict Users’ check box in Projects, needed to be unchecked.

What happens when there is no ‘Check in’ in the Pending Box. Troubleshooting this for some one else.

If I open an Excel File that is stored on Bluebeam Projects and make changes it does not save my changes. Anybody experience this?
