All three members of my team use the same toolchest.
They’re designed around our Estimating software so its pretty critical that everyone is using the customized tool chests.

I do something similar.
What I have is a custom column called “Floor Multiplier”; Just set your default to 1.
Then you can simply do the math.

I wanted to take a quick second and say thank you for everyone’s support during the last few years, and especially the last couple of weeks.

In a way, I’m glad that all her pain and suffering is gone and she can rest now.

Not sure how it’ll work eventually, but in the beta, you could only access your custom tools with Convert to via a keyboard shortcut.

All in all MAX is pretty cool if you do a lot of the things that they show you it can do. I think they will probably get a lot of Revit users signed up as well because of the new integrations there.

I do. I use that for the Drawing package.

For this particular template, they use those codes as a prefix to their drawings labels, so it picks it up from the page label.

I use the Headers and Footers feature to add a Tag already, so that is one way to do it en masse

probably the same technique though.

Placing a Custom Tag and then a Custom sorting Template.

I heard this asked in your Webinar today Troy. One of my team asked me this a while back too.

The only way I think this would work is to add a Custom Tag and then a Custom Template in your Sets preferences .
We didn’t get around to testing this, but I’d love to hear your thoughts.

They made this available in 18.1 or something.

There is an Overwrite Existing File checkbox on the Batch Summary dialog box.
Uncheck that if you don’t want your original file to be overwritten

other than having to spend WAY too much time in hospitals on this vacation (thank goodness we get free parking), its been a much welcome amount of time off.

For me, the creation of Spaces.

I know it can be done when the PDF is created from Revit, but not enough people are doing that. Creating Spaces manually is the single slowest, most time consuming process I have., and unfortunately, its quite necessary for how we do things.

I don’t think you can copy/ paste a sequence. Why on earth are they doing that though when Slip Sheeting is available?
I’m with @DavidCutler , either export/ import or Slip Sheeting is a much better approach.

We need to be moving away from the Copy/ Cut/ Paste model that has been used for so many years. Its slow.

Its actually not important at all to export your custom columns in the correct order as you can set a final column order in PQ as one of your last steps.
Table.ReorderColumns is the command.
The way I would handle this is to have a Connection Only query of the final order saved as a List, and then use the Table.ReorderColumns command with that…
