For me, the creation of Spaces.

I know it can be done when the PDF is created from Revit, but not enough people are doing that. Creating Spaces manually is the single slowest, most time consuming process I have., and unfortunately, its quite necessary for how we do things.

    What’s yours?

    Page labels out of Revit.

We don’t use the Bluebeam plugin, we use regular CTRL+P. And because of that we get bookmarks, but no page labels. And the bookmarks are nested under a random “Sheets” bookmark, so to create page labels the user needs to:

    1. Un-nest the bookmarks
    2. Delete the extraneous “Sheets” bookmark
    3. Create page labels from bookmarks

The whole process takes 5 seconds once you have the muscle memory down. But I think we all know that if we ask our users to do one extra step that they’re not used to, that particular step will not get done.

@lizlarsen Would it be faster to create the page labels and then create the bookmarks using those?

No, the bookmarks already exist, they do not need to be created.

I was thinking, rather than fixing them, you could remove them and recreate them correctly using the labels. I’m confident you have it diled in, just asking for the sake of learning.

I’m seeing a Claude prompt in a future @lizlarsen post that removes all the “extraneous Sheets bookmarks” and created nice neat bookmarks and page labels…

            🙂
