<p>as all the subs on all plots are exactly the same descriptions, same heights&#8230;..(lengths and counts differ)&#8230;..   etc</p>
<p>i just wanted a template that i can call up, link to a new pdf  &#8211; carry out a take off&#8212;then save as a seperate excel sheet for later incorporation into a global workbook</p>

<p>must get to grips with power query.</p>
<p>When i do internal deducts on plan, i use a simple line tool named ddt,then  use a custom height column as a multiplier,&#8230;&#8230;. i know its more math after the export</p>
<p> i have also seen recently ,one of my students  using the same tool description&#8230;..then simply enter a -minus figure as&hellip;</p>

<p>if the file names are odd&#8230;..but consistent&#8230;&#8230;..you could try using the   Match By -page region</p>
<p>and then when doing this&#8230;&#8230;..pick the file name first from the title block&#8212;then add the revision section ?</p>

<p>resorted to creating areas from spaces and manually labelled them all.</p>
<p>Had a large scheme that i was trying to break down into areas for stage payments</p>
<p>over several floors and varying footprints&#8230;&#8230;..and wanted to have a legegend to go with the proforma splits.</p>

<p>is there any way to create a custom column, that links to another custom column/pulls across its content?</p>
<p>For instance&#8230;&#8230;..i have an elevation of a building im looking to measure&#8230;&#8230;i mark this up</p>
<p>and call it &#8216;overall'(thats my 100%</p>
<p>then when i measure the progress to date (ie part of the overall)</p>

<p>as a quantity surveyor, i find that the available options and way BB exports the CSV data is not ideal for </p>
<p>what we call the standard method of measurement &#8230;.. mainly that the total is at the top of the stack of markups</p>

<p>i have played around with filters etc</p>
<p>but so far have found it easier to use a macro to format the data to something&hellip;</p>
