Cannot edit control points on area measurement

Scratching my head on this one.

Working on a site takeoff for paving. I’ve measured the area with my custom area tool in two sections. I went back to clean up a few points (I was working with the majority of the layers turned off so I couldn’t see all the details) and found that I cannot adjust the location of the control points of the second section. The first section I can move them all over the place, but no luck with the second measurement markup.

    What I’ve tried:

    – Shutting down/restarting Revu

    – Copying the markup – I cannot adjust the copy either

    – Locking the markup and then unlocking it

    – Drawing a fresh markup with the same tool – this works fine

    Working in Version 20.2.90

Tried to edit the markup on my laptop. No luck.

Updated my Revu to 20.3.15. No change…

Hmmm I wonder if you export the markups if you can change it in the bax file. Not really as a workaround as much as a test. Maybe export, get rid of the markups temporarily, then run the print through stapler as a Revu PDF, then re-import.

Thank you for the suggestion @isaac-harned – it’s probably easier to just re-do the markup – only about 30 mouse clicks…

I’ve had this happen, but with Spaces.

I usually just add a new control point and move that one. Then go back and delete the old control point

Not using any spaces on this one @Doug McLean

Another thing that is odd is that I can add new control points to the markup, but I cannot delete or move existing or added control points. Another tidbit is that I can add cutout areas, but cannot adjust them either…

Ended up deleting the “frozen” markup and starting over on that piece of the takeoff. This time I broke the parking lot into smaller sections so that if I had a similar issue I wouldn’t have to start completely over again…🙂
