If you have this many images attached you might also look at uploading them to Google Drive and embed the link to the specific markup. This will keep your file sizes smaller.

Great place to ask this question Nick, thank you for being in the group! Let’s see if I can help out.

    1. On the iPad, you will be able to place those sequences the same as what you show. You would then hold your finger on the markup to get the menu, and select Capture >From Camera and it will allow you to take the picture or video and embed it into that markup. The instability on the iPad is mostly due to wireless connectivity when working within a Studio Session. I recommend you open the drawings you need on the iPad before going out in the field and actually work offline. Once you reconnect everything will publish to the Session again.
    2. You are able to select an individual markup in the sequence and modify the color in the properties. Its not quick or easy, but you would hold your Alt key to pick the colored rectangle within the group. Then change the color in the properties panel. If different colors mean different things, I would maybe create a different tool for each color. I know this doesn’t keep the sequence going, but I would have to learn your workflow to make a better suggestion.
    3. I think you’re doing this correctly, maybe we could build some additional efficiencies, it’s hard to tell. Have you looked at generating a mark-up summary for the reporting side?

I did a quick search on this site for “Punch”.

You may find some ideas in the blogs, videos and other resources listed…

Interesting that you would run into that on accident. One thing could be that someone has created custom measurement tools and set them to a layer. Look at the properties to see what Layer the markups are on. Then, if you look at the Layers Panel, go to the layer properties for that layer. You might have a custom setting in the “Zoom” menu that hides them until you zoom in.

My guess is that the text is too small, so you’re not able to read it when zoomed out. I like to keep all my markup text the same size as the drawing text. Thanks for posting for all of us to learn.

I guess I’ve never tried to create them in that direction. I’m curious what other ideas are out there.

    It’s been a while since I did a backup. 😬

I don’t remember what’s all backed up with that function. I like to be sure to save all the parts and pieces in a specific folder. Lines, hatches, toolsets, profiles, etc..

That’s a tough one. I think you have to Edit Action on each one.. 😬

Are you jumping to each link shown on each page? You could go to the Hyperlink Panel (Alt+N) and right-click on each one to edit. might be faster in list form if you’re not already doing it that way.

Yes, you can add a prefix when you build the sequence. I have built punch tools exactly how you’re describing. With this, you would build a separate sequence tool with a unique color, subject, and layer for floor, overhead & exterior. I would suggest having the prefix more descriptive than A, B, C more like F=Floor OH=Overhad, E=Exterior, or something along those lines so you know at a glance.

The rooms in Revit can be part of the print using the Bluebeam plugin. This will bring the extents of the Room and title into Revu for Spaces and Area measurements among other measurements.

I would definitely export your custom column file!

That’s an interesting idea. @lizlarsen Do you know if something like this could be done with JavaScript?

@brettruppel This is interesting. I need to get caught up with the whole process here and make sure I understand the existing process.

    1. You’re creating quantities using markups in Bluebeam
    2. Manually entering line items and quantities into B2W
    3. Printing a PDF or exporting a CSV file from B2W. ?
    4. Using Adobe to import data from PDF or .CSV into a PDF form.

These courses are a rare opportunity, so many gold nuggets are shared every year. I hope you get a chance to fit a few recordings into your schedule over the next few weeks to catch up.

In this video, I show how to replace the cover sheet number with a project number. A little trick I think will work the same for your map page. https://uchapter2.com/bluebeam-training-video/bluebeam-revu-automark-batch-hyperlink/
