thanks all……………
as all the subs on all plots are exactly the same descriptions, same heights…..(lengths and counts differ)….. etc
i just wanted a template that i can call up, link to a new pdf – carry out a take off—then save as a seperate excel sheet for later incorporation into a global workbook
so plot 1 take off, plot 2 take off. etc
the sheet i have created links to a tool box only, with matching descriptions-no spaces, batch links or anything else– just pure tools.
will do a quick screen record this mornig to show the problem
i think i am missing something, or not understanding what i think quant link can do…..

Top drawer stuff Vince,
must get to grips with power query.
When i do internal deducts on plan, i use a simple line tool named ddt, then use a custom height column as a multiplier,……. i know its more math after the export
i have also seen recently ,one of my students using the same tool description…..then simply enter a -minus figure as the multiplier so it stays in the same description and reduces the running total

thanks Guys,
resorted to creating areas from spaces and manually labelled them all.
Had a large scheme that i was trying to break down into areas for stage payments
over several floors and varying footprints……..and wanted to have a legegend to go with the proforma splits.

feel your pain Vince, its never been the greatest of BB functions imo
dont know if flattening and batch OCR before comparison would make any difference?

Hi Vince,
if the file names are odd…..but consistent……..you could try using the Match By -page region
and then when doing this……..pick the file name first from the title block—then add the revision section ?

when you create a space, and then set it to highlight……….is there a way to export that
to a pdf without creating additional markups?

correct thats what i was asking David…………….have resorted to simply selecting the cut out and pasting.(or dragging to next opening)…………as you can only do 1 cut out at a time (cut and paste), the ability to select multiple cut outs for pasting would be good………especially when there are different sized cut outs

it was @Vince offset posts that prompted my thinking on this,
and i did try making some fat lines and measuring….which led to my question re the pixels
