Don’t underestimate the value of your “mistakes” in the video. Showing things break and how to fix them has way more value than everything working and not knowing why.
Maybe my bias toward multiple pages in a Dashboard rather than scripting layers is actually my lack of JavaScript comprehension. 🤣

I’m really pulling at straws here, but if you go to the Hyperlink Panel you could Edit Action and paste the Root folder into the front of the path…. For each one… I know….
Maybe there could be a script for that @lizlarsen

This is great Doug, the only thing I might add is once you have the markup placed, right-click > Edit Action and link the actual change order document. Makes for a more visual file cabinet.

@Doug McLean What are you trying to automate? I’ve seen lots of digital dashboard strategies, here is what I’ve always done:
- Create a template project folder structure, Saved on your network.
- Save the Template Dashboard in the root directory of that project.
- Create all the links, and make sure all your links are set to Relative.
- When a new project comes in, make a duplicate where you save your project data, whether that’s a network location or Studio Project. All the paths should remain if you move the entire thing together.
I saw a video a year ago using javascript to turn layers on/off on a dashboard. I didn’t really understand why they took that approach. It’s a lot easier to create several pages that look different, than to script hiding things on one page.
I’d love to hear what ideas you guys picked up from @mechave presentation. Digital Dashboards are one of my favorite things to do in Bluebeam.

Select several markups, holding the Shift key select several pages in the thumbnails, right click, and add markups to selected pages. All markups will copy to the selected pages.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we have that option. Great suggestion to developers. Thanks for being in the group @mikeceilingsystems-com

Right there with you David. $10 mouse from Target. and brace yourself, it’s Bluetooth! 😁

I usually just chalk it up as waste. You could easily have a count for doors in a Space and remove them (Total Wall Area – (Standard Door Area * Count)). Windows would need to be a little more detailed as they are all over the place with sizes.

I get asked all the time if there’s a way to remove the door from the wall area. 😂

@David Cutler you need to become a celebrity like @Doug McLean once your manager sees the industry paying attention, he will too. 😂🤣

I’d like to see a list of all the ToolSets, Line Style files, Hatch Pattern files, Custom Column files, Export Configs, Stamps, PDF Templates, Email Templates, and Saved Filters in the Markups List. This way you know exactly what’s included. As someone who builds and shares Profiles all the time, it’s frustrating to never know for sure what’s included when saving a Profile. You have to go to each one of these locations and make sure to save to profile before you save the profile.
