This year was heavily focused on introducing a new product called “Bluebeam Cloud”. There have been some struggles over the years with the iPad functionality and reliability, so they have built a web-based solution for on-site workflows including RFIs, Punch walks (Snagging lists), and submittals. They have a solid start, but they will be the first to tell you they have a ways to go.
I heard amazing feedback from all the presentations in our Brainery group and it was the thrill of my week to meet them all in person. @lizlarsen @Doug McLean @Shanoc @ekbrayley @mechave and others I’m forgetting in my lack of sleep. I even heard @Vince name brought up a couple of times.

Yeah, typically things like that are on sort of a coordinate system with a x, y distance from a center point.

If you built a custom line style starting with a text element, then a dash with nothing after it, what happens? I’m not at my computer, but I’m curious.
I know you have a handle on custom lines @Vince but for others, I try to build unique looking tools by color and line style so I visually identify it. I like to turn off all labels and text. Doesn’t work for everyone.

Interesting. In a Studio Session, you can only upload PDF’s, but I haven’t tried attaching a different format as you did. I would assume because you’re not checking out or checking in like a Studio Project it wouldn’t save. I’m kind of surprised the attachment even stayed attached. In most situations, I teach students to use Projects for everything and only send documents to a Session if multiple people absolutely have to work at the same time. Even then I only send individual sheets, not a whole set.
I don’t think this helps you, but this is a place to chat through ideas. Thanks for posting @ChrisRiley

We cannot build dynamic blocks in Revu where the parts would flex based on parameter values. However, depending on the detail level of your drawings, you could have a Wye symbol with a custom column where you would enter the sizes of each connection. You could manually enter them or create a choice and add the available sizes. 535 for a 5″, 3″ 5″
I’m not sure if this is applicable or even makes sense, but wanted to help. Thanks for the questions, I’m interested to see what others offer.

I’ve noticed that once in a while several of my tools on the Navigation Bar disappear. I need to turn my Navigation bar off and on again. (F4)

First off, welcome to the Bluebeam Brainery, we all appreciate what you have to contribute to making all of us better. If anyone is ever NOT easy on you, let me know, they are not a culture fit for the group.
It sounds to me like you tried everything to confirm the bug. Sometimes users will use the Rotate tool rather than the Rotate Pages tool. This can result in all the pages looking correct, but how the markups associated with the page are still rotated. Think of it as a coordinate system on paper. Like I said, it sounds like you checked everything, I just wanted to bring this up, just in case.
Thanks for contributing @britger !

Sounds like a lot of users are experiencing….
When you open a PDF the menu bar is totally wiped out at the top and PDFs will not open. If you do a reset, it will work, but once you close BB it goes right back to not working. They’re collecting data from users to do a repair asap.

I try to listen to the community and report things. Especially when I can recreate the issue and share it with them.

That’s certainly an option as well @Roye but I get the feeling there would be hundreds of different sizes and materials. I was hoping if they were identified by a pulldown menu of standard sizes Travis would be able to sort the markups list and see the quantity as the sizes are grouped together.
Another option might be to create a markup with text and a symbol, grouped so he could double click each connection and enter a size. This would show up on plan nicely, but not a legend or markup list. So the use would be extremly limited.
But thats why we think out loud in the Brainery!

I thought about using the highlighter for all my door tools so I could have the door tags automatically loaded into the comments column, but it wouldn’t work on raster drawings, it’s not in a properly labeled column, and I typically use the comments column for special conditions. For my tools, the customer wanted a colored square so it covered the opening and the swing. Great to have you confirm a similar workflow is working for you as well.
