Oh, you have stumbled on one of my pet peeves….

Adding groups can only be done on the “Attendees” tab, modifying groups can only be done on the “Permissions” tab.

For projects Groups are added in the “User Access” Tab

But also for quick access, use the “Add People” button to get the option to directly invite from groups pop up

They could even have the exact same name and Revu will open the file just fine. as long as the path is different. Not only that, but even beyond the excellent recommendations before me, you can open up multiple instances of Revu (if you for example, wanted your toolchests to be next to every file).

OK, I may be thinking incorrectly about this, but what about unchecking the “Include in totals”? Also I know there is some kind of trick with the choice columns to make it only appear when the subjects match between active markup and the choice item although I don’t usually go deep enough in workflows to test that properly.

When markups are grouped, they are all added to whatever is the “Top-most” layer in the group. Pretty sure this means the layer last added, which should be the lowest on the list. No matter the priority that you group them, or which markup is primary at the time. Unfortunately no way to nest layers within the group.

Are you by chance converting them to PDF using the Stapler? Have you tried the BB plugin directly from Excel?

I have personally had issues with the stapler (Deactivated form fields printing, polygons disappearing) and had to remove it form my workflow, using the BB PDF printer instead. Support has been made aware, but no fixes yet.

I also missed, but had full intention of being there. Is there any way during the sign up process you can add an email notification with a calendar item attached? That way I could receive notification before it starts since I am ADHD as all get out and would lose my head if not attached.

It should show you the folder that you’re in when you save as template. Mine seems to work exactly as you describe though and defaults to the normal templates folder. Corruption possible?

Normal template folder should be here: \AppData\Roaming\Bluebeam Software\Revu\21\Templates

(Which is usually hidden because “AppData” is a hidden file)

Hmm so the pinned files are stored here: C:\Users\(you)\AppData\Roaming\Bluebeam Software\Revu\21\RdbPinnedFiles.dat

I wonder if you could just copy this file over and replace the one in the folder? I have not played with it but maybe someone else has.

As a side note, there is also the Recent files data there too, as well as one thats labeled “RdbFileAccess”. Maybe that last one has your categories?

I also wish they could keep their layers intact, we go through and visually separate air systems on mechanicals. Would be super handy to turn supply a different color than the exhaust without marking up the whole duct! But I think this is more of a wish list than a practice anyone thinks about.
